Kahlua pictured above at six months is Lottie's third champion. A real puppy flyer, Kahlua took back to back Specialty Majors from the Puppy Class under Dorothy Christiansen and Don Combee at his first show at six months ten days old! He was winners and reserve winners at both Stephenville in June and River City in July. He took his first BOB at Corpus Christi under Murrel Purkhiser and went on to place second in the Puppy Group, he was winners the next day also for his tenth point, all from the puppy class. Kahlua took his third Specialty Major as a junior under Dr Albert Bianchi at the Dallas Specialty.
I have never been superstitious but on Friday the 13th with 13 points Kahlua suffered a testicular inflamation caused by broken capillary, semen had seeped into his bloodstream and he created an immune response. My hopes of finishing him were suddenly diminished and my puppy flyer made a forced landing. After some healing time, Kahlua finished his championship on April 13th. I am proud to say Kahlua was my first champion to finish completely owner handled, he is the fourth homebred champion for Lockehill! The loss of Kahlua in my breeding program is beyon words, it was one of those times you wonder why you breed dogs.
Kahlua now lives the "Life of Riley" with Donna and Bob Stephen in Spring Texas.

This is Lottie's second litter by Ch Jade Mist Gordon Next Edition. Kahlua and Lauren are the two center pups. How I wish we could have repeated this litter. Lauren was bred and had two pointed sons, Shane and Douglas. |

| Lauren is Kahlua's litter sister, shown here at three years old, such a beauty she is but she hated the show ring. She has a major reserve to her
credit but it is too difficult to win with a small girl that hates to show. Lauren's son Shane is shown below |

Lauren's son Shane Ch Atwater Kismet Ardon, AX AXJ x Lockehill Careless Obsession Shane is now owned by Patricia Millmore of Euro Dog Center. He is being schooled in Agility and took two first place wins his first time out. I have little doubt that Trish will put a MACH on this talented dog. Shane had five or six Specialty Major Reserves and was pointed before we decided to place him. His litter brother Douglas, shown below had four points and went oversize. Bummer! |
