In Christ shall all be made alive

I Cor. 15:22b

ALWAYS THOUGHTFUL

The Official Board approved funds for the installation of a new sound system for the church. It will include amplifier, speakers, microphones etc., to update and enhance the quality of sound in the church facilities. This will replace the 35 year old loudspeaker set. Carl Tindle is the chairman of this project.

Even though not all use special helps, the Board has always wanted to improve the quality of those attending our church by providing amps, large print Bibles, bulletins, hymnals; even rails in the restrooms and now sound enhancement.

Funding is through special donations and the Memorial fund.

IN DISCUSSION

The Trustees are in the process of reworking the guidelines for Church facilities used for Reunions, Weddings, Civic etc. Areas of concern are: electricity expenses, janitorial fees, rental fees, donations and a contact person for an event. Please contact any of the trustees or Trustee Chairman, Dwight MacAllister, as they welcome any suggestions for restructuring the new guidelines. The new guidelines will be printed in the newsletter upon completion and copies will be available at the church.

WHERE DO WE GET MILK?

When asking a child this question, the answer is sometimes the grocery store and we laugh, but let us not forget the other items in the store, bread, fruit, vegetables etc. Farmers, ranchers and everyone else who puts food on our tables livelihood depends on the weather. The drought, now a freeze that has damaged a bumper crop has been devastating and the recovery may take years. Let us remember all who provide food for our tables.

EVEN WHEN IT RAINS

AND IS COLD,

THE SON STILL SHINES

The morning was cold, but the Sunrise Service was filled with the warmth of those who Love Christ and came to celebrate His Resurrection on this Easter Morning. This service was followed by breakfast prepared by members of the Lydia Circle. Everyone enjoyed the quiche, fruit, biscuits and gravy. It sure is much better than the scrambled eggs or hashed brown potatoes that was tried many, many years ago, plus not having to arrive two hours early for preparation. Thank you to all who donated items that helped to make this breakfast a success.

EASTER LILIES

100 YEARS AND COUNTING OR

FROM HORSE & BUGGY TO

SPACEAGE

Rev. Ben Bohmfalk, Methodist Minister for over 60 years, recently celebrated his 100th Birthday. He married the former Ruby Lindemann of Cost and helping him celebrate was his family, Buster & Gladys Lindemann, Allan, Betty, George, Joy, A. J. and Lynnea Fink.

This is another facet of the Monthalia Methodist Church foundation in the love of Christ sending members into ministry even through marriage.
