The GVTC Foundation was honored for its work in the community with the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce 2016 Non Profit of the Year Award. The announcement took place at the Greater Boerne Chamber’s Annual Awards Party on Saturday, January 28, 2017. At the event, our Foundation was noted as, “generous with their financial contributions and their employees are generous with their time and talents to help those in need. This nonprofit enriches the lives of individuals, builds better organizations and ultimately creates a more just and caring community.”
In 2016, The GVTC Foundation distributed over $85,500 in the Boerne area to 27 nonprofits. GVTC employees also volunteered their time for various causes last year, including Thanksgiving Giveback, in which, 32 Boerne area families benefited with a personally delivered Thanksgiving meal.
The GVTC Foundation President, Paula White, and Foundation board of director, Rich Cheshier, accepted the award from Patrick Cohoon, (l) and Baron Houser (r).
