For the second year in a row, Comal I.S.D. honors The GVTC Foundation for helping its disadvantaged students. The largest school district in GVTC’s service area named the Foundation as its Business Partner of the Year award for 2017 during its recent, “A Night of Stars” awards ceremony. GVTC’s John Hill accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation.

School district spokesperson, Steve Stanford, said the award recognizes the Foundation’s two grants of $2,500 to the Comal Education Foundation. Our donations will provide scholarships to help disadvantaged students attend district sponsored camps this summer, which feature a variety of fun and interesting learning opportunities for the kids.

GVTC and The GVTC Foundation are long-time supporters of Comal I.S.D. and the Comal Education Foundation through donations and volunteer work.
