What is it?

Thanksgiving Giveback is The GVTC Foundation’s biggest project of the year where we partner with local food pantries and organizations to raise food items and monetary donations to provide families in need with complete Thanksgiving meals during the holiday. The local food pantries we partner with provide The GVTC Foundation with the list of families that we deliver meals to, and each year GVTC employees and their families package and personally deliver meals to each family. In 2018, we delivered a record-breaking 277 meals across our service area, and 899 meals over the course of 6 years of doing this project.

What is the deadline to donate funds or food items?

The GVTC Foundation starts raising monetary donations and canned goods as early as September
2019 and all the way through the second week of November. On November 23, our GVTC
Foundation enlists our employees and their families to help package meals for delivery to families
the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Where do I donate?

Donate $25 to purchase the full meal or donate food from the list now through November 18th.
