Broadband Facts label

Frequently Asked Questions

This label looks like one you might see on the foods you buy. But instead of calories, it lists details about the monthly price, broadband speeds, and data allowances for plans you’re considering.

The FCC requires all service providers to make these labels available to you. Labels are only available for plans offered on or after April 10, 2024.

The Broadband Facts label gives you the ability to compare plans across GVTC and other providers. This way, you can always choose the best plan for your needs.

In the simplest terms, broadband is high-speed internet access. It’s the internet you use on a daily basis in your home, over WiFi, or on your smartphone. You may use:

  • Mobile broadband: This is internet provided over a cellular network. It’s the connection you get with mobile wireless services.
  • Fixed broadband: This is internet provided to a fixed location and can be provided over different types of connections, including Fiber, Coax, and copper. Fiber is the fastest type of internet connection. It uses a network of bundled tiny glass fibers called fiber optic cables to deliver internet service via light waves. It’s the connection you get with GVTC Internet.
