Jeff Dear

Jeff Dear, Vice President of Network Services for GVTC, is a seasoned telecommunications and IT executive with over 30 years of experience. He plays a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, engineering, and operations of all customer-facing networks at GVTC. Mr. Dear leads the company's project management office and information technology department, and manages inventory, facilities, and fleet operations, driving efficiency and innovation across the organization.

Mr. Dear's extensive experience spans multiple leadership roles across the telecommunications industry. Before joining GVTC in 2014, he held key positions including IT Project Manager at Rural Telephone, Billing Supervisor at Nex-Tech Wireless, IT Project Manager at Cingular and AT&T, and Director of Billing and POS Systems Operations, Roaming, Number Administration, and Revenue Assurance at Pocket Communications. In these roles, he was instrumental in streamlining operations, enhancing system capabilities and driving revenue growth.

Since joining GVTC, Mr. Dear has been a catalyst for change. He successfully developed and established GVTC's project management office, later expanding his oversight to the IT department, where he spearheaded the transformation of the company's business intelligence capabilities. His leadership was critical during the largest project in GVTC's history—the comprehensive conversion of the company's BSS/OSS system, which set new benchmarks for operational excellence within the organization.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Mr. Dear is an active leader in the industry. He serves on the Executive Steering Council and is the Co-Chair of the Security and Infrastructure Member Advisory Committee for the National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC). Furthermore, he contributes to the CALIX/NISC Strategic Council, where his insights help shape the future of telecommunications technology. His outstanding achievements at GVTC have been recognized with the President's Award, reflecting his commitment to excellence and innovation.

Mr. Dear holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Friends University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
