David Esser has served on the GVTC Board of Directors since 2010 and resides on the Safety, Audit/Finance, Retirement & Security, and 401(k) Committees. As a Director living in a rural area, he understands the needs of GVTC customers in outlying areas and is committed to seeing GVTC’s continued expansion of services.
Mr. Esser owns and operates a construction company specializing in custom home building and commercial construction. His background in construction, OSHA certifications, and managing a company makes him extremely valuable to the Safety Committee and Audit/Finance Committees he serves.
Mr. Esser is a proud partner of “A Soldier’s Journey Home” Foundation that provides mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans. Houses are built on-site in just nine days. David has donated his time and knowledge to serve as project manager for projects in New Braunfels and Tennessee. He is also a proud supporter of the Military Warriors Support Foundation where he welcomes injured servicemen and servicewomen to his ranch for outdoor activities to help restore their sense of self, family, and hope. He also serves on the Kendall County Junior Livestock Association Board, which benefits its area youth.
Mr. Esser, his wife Melissa, and their two daughters reside on the Esser Family Ranch in Kendalia, where Mr. Esser is involved in its daily operations, recently celebrating a 125-year milestone of cattle ranching in the Texas Hill Country.
